Hello everyone.
I hope you are having a great week! This week I have been enjoying teaching yoga to the 80 children at Ballyglass N.S. I love showing the children how to move their bodies in good and healthy ways while learning skills that are so important as they grow and change. I encouraged the kids to do their favourite poses and see which ones they love. Build up their toolbox.
Remember that every child is different, so do what works for the child and observe the benefits. I wanted you to be part of this excitement and positive change!
When Ed Sheeran went through a weight-loss journey, he said that the trick for him was to exercise ten minutes each day. That consistency and focus were what brought him results.
Like watering a seed, yoga is something we cultivate by practicing a little bit each day.
As Adriene Mishler (from “Yoga with Adriene <https://www.youtube.com/c/yogawithadriene>” YouTube channel) always says, “Find what feels good.”
Wishing you and your school communities the happiest of summer holidays.
The Dalai Lama says that it’s better to do a few minutes of yoga each day than to do an hour-long class once a week.
